Santa Ana highlight

Historic downtown

Santa Ana's downtown is home to the Santa Ana Zoo, founded in 1952 and operated by the city, along with historic cultural institutions.

The Santa Ana Zoo opened in 1952 and has remained a community touchstone for seven decades. Located at 1801 East Chestnut Avenue in the heart of downtown, the zoo operates daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is managed by the City of Santa Ana Parks, Recreation, and Community Services division. The zoo has become the kind of place that families return to at different ages: a first animal encounter with a small child, a school field trip, a weekend outing with grandparents.

Downtown Santa Ana also holds other historic landmarks that anchor the neighborhood as a cultural center. The area has evolved into a destination for families and visitors seeking recreation and connection to the city's heritage. These institutions matter because they create the continuity that families build their lives around—the places that become part of a family's story across generations.

Life insurance planning fits naturally into that picture. A family that expects to return to the zoo, send their children to school, and build a history in Santa Ana is already thinking in terms of years ahead. That is exactly the timeline that term life insurance covers: ten to thirty years of protection for the household while the children grow and the mortgage is being paid, which keeps the family's plan on track if an income is lost.
