Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. You provide six pieces of information: your gender, birth date, health level in plain words, whether you use tobacco, how much coverage you want, and which term length interests you. Those six answers generate carrier quotes. Contact information—your name, address, phone and email—is not needed until and unless you decide to apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

These are the rates carriers quote for the health class you described. Once you apply, the carrier's underwriting team reviews your health history and may confirm that class, move you to a better one if you qualify, or place you in a different class. The quotes here are estimates for comparison, not guarantees of the price you will ultimately pay.

What happens when I click Apply?

You move into the carriers' secure application platform, which prefills your answers from the quote tool. You add your name, address and health details the underwriting team needs. You can close and return to it later without losing your progress, and you sign using electronic signature. Susman Insurance Agency, our licensed California partner, handles the application (License 0B75129).

Will I need a medical exam?

It depends on which carrier you choose, how much coverage you apply for, and your health answers. Many carriers use accelerated underwriting to decide without an exam for younger applicants in good health below certain coverage amounts. Each quote on this site says whether that particular product requires an exam, might need one after underwriting review, or does not require one.

Is a longer term better?

A term should run for as long as someone depends on your income. If your mortgage will be paid off in twenty years and your children will be independent by then, twenty years covers the gap. If you plan to support aging parents or have other long-term obligations, you might choose thirty years. Longer terms cost more each month because the premium is locked for longer, but they give you more years of protection. The quote tool lets you compare all lengths from ten to thirty years to see the differences.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote tool does not ask for names, emails or phone numbers, so there is no contact list to sell. We do not share visitor data with advertisers or third parties, and we measure traffic without cookies or tracking pixels. Read the privacy page for the complete details of what data we collect and who can see it.
